Writing on Your Wavelength

Author Bio

Mark Lusky is a communications strategist and discreet, highly experienced ghostwriter who helps leaders and organizations turn ideas into clear, compelling nonfiction that sounds like them. With more than 50 years of print and digital writing, editorial, and marketing communications experience, he brings the rigor of long-form journalism together with the practical strategy of brand messaging—so stories don’t just read well, they land with the right audience.

Mark’s writing career began early—his first “byline” arrived at five months old, when his father ghostwrote a playful advice piece in his name. That origin story became a fitting preview of a lifetime spent helping others find and shape their voice. Today, through Mark Lusky Communications, he partners with for-profit and nonprofit clients to develop content strategy, messaging, and publishable manuscripts and materials across both print and digital platforms.

Over the decades, Mark has led and delivered communications from multiple vantage points: as Editor-in-Chief of Downtowner, Denver’s premier newspaper; as Regional Marketing Director for a major circus, building pre-event anticipation and audience engagement; and as an account executive at PR/advertising agencies including Sam Lusky Associates/Hill & Knowlton and McGuinness & Associates (Denver). He holds a BA in Mass Communications from the University of Denver.

Known for expert interviewing, investigative depth, and a calm, deadline-driven process, Mark is an adaptive collaborator who can synthesize complex input from many sources and shape it into a cohesive narrative. His work spans memoir and narrative nonfiction, thought leadership, blogs, speeches, case studies, white papers, ebooks, position papers, brochures, newsletters, and full campaign messaging.

Mark’s archive includes more than 960 strategic documents across industries such as financial and legal services, business consulting/coaching, technology and manufacturing, healthcare, entertainment, and career development. Work samples and client endorsements are available upon request.
